There is something very cinematic about this track. I'm really enjoying this intro. When that music hits...wow. That bassline is sweet. Action brother, its action! This would have to be my favorite track from you yet. Keep up the great work.

right on Cole, your solo on the intro has great feeling and the phrases are very cohesive...
It really sounds like you are listening to the rhythm and melody lines closely and finding your voice...
I am inspired, now I need to go practice Rolling On Floor Laughing!

Yes very cinematic at the start and up there with something really good.

Excellent guitar playing here and the atmosphere builds throughout. The introduction of the drums is really well done and this is a very good quality recording overall. You have done yourself proud Roo. Well done on working with such classy collaborators too!!

Kewl..... the guitar becomes a little buried when the entire ensemble enters. Bring the gtr up in the mix. All the licks sound good - you can just hear the notes - the tone and nuance of the phrasing gets lost when the gtr is set back that much. You are the lead - take the lead of the ensemble and rock 'em hard.

I've heard this before :D (Big Grin) Minus the guitar ofcourse Nodding I agree with Gene on crankin that guitar up and letting those leads burst out from the song! Thats some pretty tight soloing though, i think a little delay might kick them off nicely but just a thought. Clapping

ICY it got its title from the intro alone..
Nodding
this is a nice composition and the feel is gorgeous, however the mix is off level wise for me, but it could be these speakers, the keyboard or the "JASON" melody later in the mix as I will describe seems like it is WAY high up on the forward of this mix

the guitar could come forward some, possibly pan that instrument out on sides a little and open up the sound, making this track larger than life :D (Big Grin)

this is really great work though..

the percussion is nice, but that Piano Keyboard pieace i was on about is getting a bit too much later on in the mix, almost becomes annoying and really detours from the fabulous guitar mix, I would consider either changing the sound on that piece, or instrument maybe, definitely pull back the level on the mix, and maybe drop it down to its simplicity again like the intro in a few spots.. missing a bassline though, would complete everything..

really dig this track, you should be proud GREAT stuff Clapping very nice! Thumbs Up

Nice chops on the Electric Guitar ! Super tone and well played. Sometimes I wish the drums had a touch more reverb on them to help pull them into the mix a bit more. The bass is also chuggin' out some nice lines.

That guitar is simply awesome!
I was about to criticize the keyboard but then the percussion kicked in and filled the whole thing out. If I ever were to drop my instruments and sing in front of a band I would want it to sound like this track. Excellent! Sun Sun Sun Thumbs Up

Ur lead guitar keeps gettin better i love how u accent notes to give it a more profesional. The backing track sounds kool but the synthasised drums are not very good in my opiniion apart from that its a great collab, nice1

Ok mate...bloody good job.
Suggestions from me to help you grow...ok? here we go then...
Less is more, start off with longer feel notes untill the drums kick in, then go for it, sustain more notes over the backing track instead of trying to play loads of notes, and watch out for the ending, try to resolve your solo with the ending.

Liking the intro. The keys sound nice. Allthough, your playing is too fast paced. I wanna hear some sloooooooooooooooow licks here with a lot of bends. Not fan of the drums. They got quite annoying actually. Same goes to the keys. I liked your riffs, but you need to get some variation there. So many players have this same problem. Work on the phrasing. More dynamics, more rhytmic change and VIBRATO!!! The atmosphere is great, but the backing track was waaaay to monotonous!

Very good!!!! I liked it. I agree with some of the others about perhaps having some longer, bent notes etc. through the intro. But none the less it still sounds incredible!!! Great job to both of you!!! Keep em coming!!! I've also got a new cover up of Sabbath's Snowblind!! Check it out if you get a chance.

great collab guys! you work together well, taking some repeated advise and actually using it!
i especially love the opening (sucks me right in at the start...i like the drums coming in (although it seems others do not. and i love your 'crescendo' if you will.
there's no real bridge in the song, or repeated hook (riff), so you need to change up everyonce in a while, imho.
i agree with greatgooglym from 'i wanna hear some sloooooooooooow licks...' up to "the atmosphere is great' i'm thinking like gary moore kinda of lead that IS the song!!you've got those riffs Smile Electric Guitar
don't hate me for all the input----i really did think it was great as is-the comments are just a wish list after the fact!!!

Cool stuff G....Riffs are thoughtful and melodic. LOve your tone. You gel very closely with the backing track very much embracing the arrangment. I think if you more "owned" the track rather than embracing it, the feel would be much different, imho. Other than that, nice workThumbs Up

well... i will say i'm comfortable with all of the progressions.. but just not very excited about them... for ME they don't seem to communicate any extreme or direction and sound a lot more like just someone playing because they can/or have to... although this performance wise is hypocritical for me to say because i can't do it myself (you're better than me!) but i suggest opening up a bit and pushing the soundscape a little more... hit some of those higher notes... look for those progressions that lead to strong dynamics... get some more emotion in there... >

Listened again since you remixed it.
Much better.
I di want you to drop the staccato style of playing though, I'd love to hear those notes slide into each other.
Have a good listen to Traf (Rog) you'll see what I mean.
All the same it's very good work, considering your add libbing over a track.
Shame others can't see your work is an experiment in sound as mine was.
